From the 25th to the 30th of May 2008 a distinguished group of 80 university students from 37 different countries and 200 students from Copenhagen Business School will participate in an exercise to prioritize the most cost efficient solutions to ten of the world’s greatest problems. The Youth Forum represents more than 70 % of the world’s inhabitants. The Youth Forum sessions are open to the public. During a four day event the Youth Forum will go though the exact same exercise as the distinguished economists at the Expert Panel meeting and answer the question: If the world would come together and be willing to spend, say, $75 billion additionally over the next five years on improving the state of the world, which solutions would yield the greatest net benefits? The Youth Forum is a parallel meeting to the Copenhagen Consensus 2008 Expert Panel meeting. The Youth Forum will involve the decision makers and experts of tomorrow and have them pinpoint what has to be done, in order to alleviate the challenges of today. |
